Description

Superb dress-circle location, with views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables. The house is only a short stroll into Queenstown. Large windows and skylights make the interior airy, bright and sun-filled. Views from the house begin with the beautiful azure waters of Lake Wakatipu and reach from The Remarkables all the way round past the Kelvin Heights golf course down the lake to Mount Nicholas.

Neighborhood

16A The Terrace is in a quiet cul-de-sac close to town.
A seven minute stroll through the nearby Queenstown Botanical gardens will bring you to the restaurants, cafes, shops and nightlife of downtown.

Access

Apart from a couple of lock-up cupboards, guests have full access to the house
The garage is shared with 16B The Terrace. There is 1 car park inside the garage and one car park outside the garage for for 16A and the same for 16B. Please only park in the allotted parking areas and do not block our other guests. Please take note of the height restrictions for the garage.

Space

The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Master Bedroom (upstairs) has a Queen bed and ensuite
Bedroom 2 (downstairs) has a Queen bed and shares the bathroom with Bedroom 3
Bedroom 3 (downstairs) has 2 single beds and shares the bathroom with Bedroom 2

On the entrance level is the kitchen, dining, lounge & powder room. The lounge has a TV with chrome cast which allows you to screen share and access to your own Netflix account. The views from the lounge and dining area are beautiful.

We have a heat pump in the main living areas and column heaters in all the bedrooms to keep the house nice and warm during winter.

Don't forget to ask about the option of hiring a spa pool.

We have the property 16B as well so if you are a larger group or 2 families who wish to holiday together then these two properties are perfect. You can find them advertised as Villas Lake Terrace.

We use professional cleaners and hired linen to ensure our home is cleaned to the highest standards and COVID protocols.

There is a BBQ at the rear of the house with outdoor dining table and chairs.

Laundry facilities are provided including a washing line outside in the garden and dryer in the laundry room.

Nightly rate includes free WiFi and Linen Hire.

Transit

If mountain-biking is your plan, this is the perfect base in Queenstown - just a short ride from the house is access to the Frankton Track which leads to endless tracks in the area. There is plenty of storage space for bikes in the garage.

Just a 7 minute walk to Central Queenstown - access to all buses and taxis from there. Ski buses stop on Frankton Road as well.

Notes

This property has lots of stairs and is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
This is not a party house.
The garage is shared with 16B The Terrace
The garage has a height clearance of 185cm - please take this into account when booking your rental car.
Portable Cot & Highchair are available for hire from The Butler - please enquire.
There is an option of hiring a portable spa for the property - please enquire if interested.

House Rules

This house is in a quiet residential neighbourhood - not suitable for parties or too much noise.
No smoking in any part of the house.
No pets allowed.
House would need to be left locked and tidy, with dishes done and rubbish in the big bins – our cleaners will take care of the rest.

Rubbish bins MUST be put out Tuesday night for Wednesday morning collection

Please do to use outdoor areas after 10pm and before 7am

Parking in designated areas only

Guests must be at least 22 years old to book and person booking must stay at the house.


Cancellation Policy

We will refund
100% of your total funds paid* less NZ$150 admin fee for all bookings cancelled over 90 days prior to your arrival date.
80% of your total funds paid* less NZ$150 admin fee for all bookings cancelled 61-90 days prior to your arrival date.
50% of your total funds paid* less NZ$150 admin fee for all bookings cancelled 30 - 60 days prior to your arrival date.
There will be no refund applicable for any bookings cancelled less than 30 days prior to your arrival date.

* excluding any credit card fees paid

** Note - Cancellations due to Covid-19 lockdown or Covid-19 border closures can change dates free of charge or cancel the booking for a 50% refund* & 50% house credit.  House credit valid for 1 year from date of original booking.

The pictures don’t lie: the apartment has stunning views over the lake and the mountains, and is cosy enough that we could have sat inside all day admiring the scenery if there wasn’t so much to do outside. The apartment made a perfect base for our family group of six spending a long weekend hiking and skiing around Queenstown: in a nice, very peaceful neighbourhood, but only a 15-20 minute walk or 5 min drive into town. It’s very cleverly laid out over three floors; kitchen is compact but well equipped; living areas are comfortable (with those amazing views); and the garage was really useful for storing our ski gear. Would highly recommend it.

This beautiful house in Queenstown was exactly what we needed. Lovely and close to town, huge facilities, the most stunning view in the world to wake up to.
