Jack's Bach

Queenstown, Central Otago, New Zealand

Short Description

Jack's Bach - close to ski fields & golf

Jack's Bach is a tastefully appointed 2 bedroom 1 bathroom property in Jacks Point, Queenstown.
It is the perfect spot if you are a small group looking for somewhere to stay that has your own space and kitchen rather than staying in a hotel. It is the perfect base for those wishing to go fishing, golfing, skiing, biking, hiking, hunting or if you have family in Jacks Point and wish to stay close by.

Someone from The Butler is just a phone call away.

Originally farmland the Jacks Point Estate has been developed trying to keep the 3,000 acres in harmony with their original surroundings. From the planting of native fauna to the design of the houses this estate was 15 years in the planning.
Jacks Point is home to the acclaimed 18 hole Championship Golf Course, it has extensive mountain bike and walking trails, tennis courts, playground, sports fields and not to forget the Clubhouse and Restaurant which sit on the picturesque Lake Tewa which is also available for fly fishing. Here in Jacks Point we embrace the lifestyle and enjoy nature.

Guests have full access to the property except for a locked cupboard in the downstairs bedroom.

The property is set out over two levels. Downstairs you have the carpeted garage, laundry & guest bedroom. Upstairs is your master bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining and living area.

You have views of the stunning Remarkable mountains and out towards Jacks Point Championship Golf Course from many areas of the house.

The house is tastefully decorated with lots of artwork on the walls and the owners have added all those extra little things that help make your stay more comfortable from quality beds to fully equipped kitchen - you won't want to leave!

The house is set to the rear of a large block of land with the front section available for you to sit and enjoy the uninterrupted views - maybe sit back in one of the deck chairs and enjoy some local wine & cheese while watching the sun go down - blissful.

The heat pump/air conditioner keeps the house lovely and warm but we also have heaters in the bedrooms and possum skin blankets for you to snuggle up under.

The garage is carpeted to help with the warmth and has storage racks for your fishing rods and skis.

It is recommended you have a car but not essential as there is a public bus that runs from Jack Point every hour.
We are approx 10 minutes from the airport and the Frankton shopping district. Less than 5 minutes to the bottom carpark to The Remarkables Ski field and only 20 minutes into downtown Queenstown. (all times are subject to traffic)

If travelling with small children you do need to supervise them on stairs. Please note the property is not fenced.
Cot & highchair not included at this house but they are available for hire - please enquire if needed.

We had a great stay! Loved Jacks Point and Queenstown and Deborah was an excellent host.

Awesome location and everything we needed for two adults and two kids.

We had a great stay at Jack's! Such a beautiful location with views out of every window including the shower! The place was clean and tidy and had all the amenities for a very comfortable stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Conveniently located. Stunning location, mountain views out every window. Very comfortable and clean. Great host, highly recommended !!

Stunning ...
We love Jack's Bach, perfect for the two of us and with room for friends too! Terrific location in beautiful Jack's Point with stunning 360 degree views and it is super quiet and peaceful. The house is very well set up with really comfortable beds and sofas and the kitchen is great - well equipped with everything you might need. We loved the mid century vibe and the vintage NZ travel posters hanging throughout. Deb is a terrific host and the 'House folder' is full of useful information and 'tips from a local' to help you maximise your stay. Highly recommended!

Amazing location in the beautiful suburb of Jacks Point. High enough spot that you can see bits of lake Wakatipu, and uninterruped views of all surrounding mountain ranges. The home was very comfortable with new and modern furnishings. Special thanks to our host, Deborah, for going the extra mile with all the help we needed last minute during our stay! She was very responsive to all our queries and always accessible.

Amazing space! One of my favorites. Everything needed for a comfortable stay - great kitchen and all the comforts. Close to the amazing cafe down by the golf course and very close to Remarkables. Great communication and such a glorious location. Loved it!

Lovely place and beautiful surroundings! The view from every angle is incredible and Deb’s place was very clean, had everything we needed and was a beautiful home away from home. We will be back!

Jack’s Bach was the perfect way to experience Jack’s Point. A perfect location if you want to experience the area but be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Queenstown. The vistas from the windows at Jack’s Bach are breathtaking. The Bach is extremely cosy with high end furnishings and accessories, making the stay so much more comfortable. I would highly recommend this little gem!

Jacks bach is the perfect getaway in Queenstown. It’s lovely, clean and new and easily accommodated my husband and I. Great facilities if you’re on a ski holiday too with fantastic parking and garage storage. We really enjoyed our stay at Deborah’s
