Description

Tikoke Heights is a modern 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom home is located on Queenstown Hill. With its elevated position the property boasts stunning views over Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables mountain range.
It is located just a short drive to downtown Queenstown so you can enjoy all the local restaurants & activities but come back to the peace and quiet of the house.

We use professional cleaners and hired linen to ensure our home is cleaned to the highest standards and COVID protocols.

Interaction

Someone from The Butler will meet guests on arrival - so please provide travel details. Then we will be just a phone call away. Subject to COVID19 regulations the meet & greet may not be possible but we will advise in advance of any changes.

Neighborhood

Queenstown Hill is also known by its Māori name of Te Tapu-nui (mountain of intense sacredness), It is a small 907 metres (2,976 ft) mountain in Queenstown. There are many houses on the hill but all activities and restaurants are in the town centre. You can walk into town from the house but be aware coming back up the hill can be a challenge you may want to take the short 5 minute taxi ride instead.

Access

Other than a locked storage cupboard, guests have full access to the house and garage.

Space

This is a modern 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom home with stunning views. With its views and easy access to the town centre it is a great option for guests from all over New Zealand and the World.
The house is set out over multiple levels with the master bedroom at the top and the other bedrooms on the lower level. All bedrooms have views. The open plan living, dining and kitchen area are located in the middle of the property. Stepping out onto the balcony you can only wonder at the stunning vista the spreads out in front of you.
Reverse Cycle heating/cooling system helps keep the house at a comfortable level year round and the gas fire adds to the ambience.
Our kitchen is fully fitted out with everything you would need including a Nespresso Coffee machine and a wine fridge.

Transit

Although you can walk walk into Central Queenstown it is a tough walk back up the hill home however it is just a 5-7 minute drive. Taxi from town to house approx $15
Taxi cost from airport is about $40
Parking for two guest vehicles one in the garage and one on the parking area outside. Please do not block the driveway with your cars. We would recommend 4WD vehicles in the winter as the driveway can get icy.
Note: If you have a ski box or roof rack on your car it may not fit in the garage.

Notes

Please note that the house does have a lot of stairs so not suitable for those with mobility issues. Although we welcome families you will need to watch your little ones on the stairs. You also need to note that the kids bedrooms are two levels below the master bedroom.
Please note there is some construction happening in the street.
This is not a party house.

House Rules

This house is in a quiet residential neighbourhood - not suitable for parties or too much noise. No smoking in any part of the house. No pets allowed. On departure the house is to be locked with all lights & appliances off, the BBQ is to be cleaned (if used). The house should be left tidy, with dishes done and rubbish in the bins provided – our cleaners will change beds and clean bathrooms.

Please do not use outside areas after 10pm and before 7am

Guest must be 25 or over to book and the person booking must stay at the house.

Cancellation Policy

We will refund
100% of your total funds paid* less NZ$150 admin fee for all bookings cancelled over 90 days prior to your arrival date.
80% of your total funds paid* less NZ$150 admin fee for all bookings cancelled 61-90 days prior to your arrival date.
50% of your total funds paid* less NZ$150 admin fee for all bookings cancelled 30 - 60 days prior to your arrival date.
There will be no refund applicable for any bookings cancelled less than 30 days prior to your arrival date.

** Note - Cancellations due to Covid-19 lockdown or Covid-19 border closures can change dates free of charge or cancel the booking for a 50% refund* & 50% house credit.  House credit valid for 1 year from date of original booking.

The mesmerising views and the house simply spoke for themselves, perfect! A stone throw away from town, yet you feel like you’re living in a tranquil resort with the lake and the mountains all to yourself. However, what made this stay a top experience for us was how well it was managed. Deborah and her team was meticulous, responsive and had everything you could think of covered. Their name The Butler couldn’t be more fitting, the level of service was exemplary, without the intrusiveness of an in-house butler. Highly recommended, although we’d really like to keep this place a secret all to ourselves, it’s booking out fast!

VERY CLEAN! Pictures don’t do the house justice. The views, furnitures, layout, appliances, space… everything was better than the photos. The views were awesome! Every bedroom had amazing views of the mountains/lake. The layout was prefect- from kitchen to living room to balcony to the magnificent view! Lovely fireplace. Smart TV. It was very quiet that you can hear only the birds chirping in the mornings. It’s a little hard to walk to town especially with black ice. But easy Uber ride and can order food and grocery delivery online. The laundry room was perfect. Spacious and complete- even had a drying cabinet. The kitchen was all top of the line appliances. Complete dinnerware / cookwares and a wine chiller! Aircon control in every room was perfect. Lots of cabinet space-especially loved the walk in closet and luggage racks in the masters. Host was very responsive- replied within a minute. Loved the welcome gift, too. If this unit is available, take it. You will 100% love it.

We spent 7 nights at Tikoke Heights as a family of four and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The house is stunning and is exceptionally clean. It has everything you need and more. The views are postcard perfect and despite the beautiful pictures online, they still do not do it justice! The upstairs bathroom, living area and all bedrooms have a view of the lake and mountains. The house features a fully equipped kitchen (coffee machine most importantly!) and laundry - the latter was especially handy with our longer stay. The balcony is a perfect spot to sit first thing in the morning or as the sun sets over the Remarkables. Deborah provided all required info and more. If you are looking for a place with some extra space and magnificent views do not hesitate to book! From amazing wineries and restaurants to hot pools and shotover jets, Queenstown had it all but we know it was made all the better by staying at Tikoke Heights. Thank you Deborah and team!
